Main Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment including preventative maintenance, inspections, repair to air and hydraulic brakes, tires and electrical.
• Knowledge in adjusting and replacing brakes, fabrication, suspension, alignment and basic knowledge of air systems is a plus.
• Performs intermediate to advanced inspections, repairs, and replacements following company guidelines.
• The position requires heavy lifting up to 80 lbs unassisted, attention to detail, and good communication skills for interaction with management, coworkers and customers.
• Basic knowledge and familiarity with air brake and ABS systems and repairs.
• The position requires heavy lifting, attention to detail, and good communication skills for interaction with internal customers.
• Basic knowledge and familiarity with air brake and ABS systems and repairs.
• Basic metal fabrication ability.
• Ability to perform similar repairs on various types and brands of the same components.
• Required to follow all company policies and procedures pertaining to, safety, conduct, attendance, and cleanliness.

Experience Required

• One year of equipment repair or heavy equipment body repair.
• Must have a minimum of basic hand tools.
• Must be able to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50lbs. (assistance with heavier items will be provided.)
• Ability to work from a platform up to 15 feet high.
• Must be able to work in all types of environment including, heat, cold
• Applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Experience Preferred

• Mechanical Knowledge: 1 year
• Experience in aluminum and steel welding.
• Experience with body wreck repair highly desired.

Desired Qualifications:

• Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
• Work Location: In person

Essential Functions Include but not Limited to:

• Pick and pull parts from warehouse to fill orders
• Ensure that parts being delivered match the invoice
• Must deliver customer parts in timely, accurate, safe, and friendly manner pickups to and from customer locations
• Maintain continuous communication with Parts team as to customer needs may arise while on delivery
• Maintain a professional appearance and ensure delivery vehicle is clean and well-maintained
• Must report any truck repairs to the Parts Manager or designated parts department team member
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed (e.g., put away stock, drive forklift, clean, etc.)
• Assist shipping and receiving person as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, handle and lift parts.
• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to OSHA Standards in some areas

Experience Required

• Clean Driving Record
• Must be at least 21-years-old
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Experience Preferred

• Delivery driving: 1 year
• Driving a forklift/forklift certified

• Inspects equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
• Review each repair order/work order and estimators notes to understand the repairs needed prior to beginning work.
• Diagnose and repair trailers including preventative maintenance, inspections, repair to air and hydraulic brakes, tires and electrical.
• Knowledge in adjusting and replacing brakes, fabrication, suspension, alignment and basic knowledge of air systems is a plus.
• The position requires heavy lifting, attention to detail, and good communication skills for interaction with internal customers.
